History
Yorkhill E.S. was officially opened in 1987. We now have approximately 390 students attending our school. The student body reflects the multicultural makeup of our community. Yorkhill E.S. is located at 350 Hilda Avenue, in Thornhill.

- Our School Mascot is the Cougar.

- Our School colours are Blue and White.
Facilities
We offer Full Day Kindergarten (JK/SK) through to Grade 8.
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 2026, YORKHILL ELEMEMENTARY SCHOOL WILL NO LONGER OFFER A FRENCH IMMERSION PROGRAM.
We also have a Community Classroom for children with ASD.
